Food Kiosk Operator - Entry Level

(Part Time)

No Experience Required — Training Provided

The Entry-Level Food Kiosk Operator will eventually be part of a two-person team responsible for operating a lunch and dinner food kiosk serving customers through a walk-up window, takeout orders, and third-party delivery services.

This is a hands-on position designed for someone who wants to learn food service, cooking, customer service, and restaurant operations. Previous restaurant or cooking experience is not required. We will provide training in food preparation, commercial cooking equipment, point-of-sale systems, order fulfillment, food safety, and daily kiosk operations.

Team members will also have the opportunity to earn required food-safety certifications as part of their training and development.

The ideal candidate is dependable, willing to learn, comfortable working with others, and able to stay organized in a small, active environment. This can be a great opportunity for someone looking for their first food-service job or interested in developing skills that can lead to greater responsibility over time as our business grows

Responsibilities

As training is completed, responsibilities will include:

  • Learn to prepare and cook menu items consistently, safely, and efficiently.

  • Learn to safely operate commercial gas-powered fryers, grills, griddles, and other kiosk equipment.

  • Receive and process walk-up, takeout, online, and delivery orders.

  • Learn to accurately operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments.

  • Monitor orders from third-party delivery platforms and prepare them for driver pickup.

  • Package and label food correctly for takeout and delivery.

  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service at the walk-up window.

  • Communicate order status and expected preparation times to customers and delivery drivers.

  • Work closely with the second kiosk team member to coordinate cooking, order assembly, and customer service.

  • Complete opening and closing procedures.

  • Assist with food preparation and restocking ingredients, packaging, and supplies.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary cooking and service area.

  • Learn and follow food-safety, sanitation, temperature-control, and cross-contamination procedures.

  • Follow standardized recipes, portion sizes, and preparation procedures.

  • Monitor food quality and presentation.

  • Communicate supply needs and assist with inventory counts.

  • Help receive, organize, and properly store food and supplies.

  • Assist with other kiosk responsibilities as needed during busy lunch and dinner periods.

Requirements

No previous food-service experience is required.

Training & Certification

Previous certifications are not required to apply.

New team members will receive training in areas including:

  • Food preparation and cooking

  • Commercial fryer, grill, and griddle operation

  • Food safety and sanitation

  • Safe food temperatures and storage

  • Cross-contamination prevention

  • Point-of-sale operation

  • Cash and electronic payment handling

  • Walk-up and takeout customer service

  • Third-party delivery order management

  • Opening and closing procedures

  • Inventory and restocking

Team members will be expected to complete applicable food-safety and ServSafe certifications within the timeframe established by the company. Additional certifications, including Food Manager Certification, may be available as employees gain experience and take on additional responsibilities.

Preferred — But Not Required

The following experience is helpful but not necessary:

  • Previous restaurant, food truck, concession, kiosk, or food-service experience

  • Cooking experience at home, school, volunteer events, or community organizations

  • Customer-service or retail experience

  • Cash register or point-of-sale experience

  • Experience using DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, or similar services

  • Experience working as part of a small team

  • Flexible lunch, dinner, evening, and weekend availability

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, and interested in growing with the business.

Growth Opportunity

This position is intended to provide an opportunity to learn multiple areas of food-service operations rather than requiring applicants to already have those skills.

As team members gain experience, complete certifications, and demonstrate their ability to operate independently, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities related to food preparation, shift operations, inventory, training, and kiosk management.

Schedule

Scheduling will include lunch and dinner shifts and may include evenings, weekends, special events, and holidays based on business needs.

Compensation and Bonus Eligibility

All positions are eligible to participate in our quarterly bonus pool. Bonus amounts are based on hours worked and the company’s overall income and performance.

Line Cook - Evenings & Weekends

Part-time

The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and executing a brewery menu featuring pizza, burgers, wings, appetizers and brunch offerings using specialized equipment including a panini press, auto fry, conveyor oven, and flat griddle. In addition to culinary responsibilities, this role will support brewery operations by assisting with cleaning, monitoring, and packaging tasks as directed. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic environment, takes pride in both food and beverage quality, and is available for regular and special event shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items consistently and efficiently during scheduled shifts

  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment (panini press, auto fry, conveyor oven, flat griddle)

  • Maintain a clean and organized station in accordance with health and safety standards

  • Assist with prep work and restocking during slower periods

  • Work cooperatively with team members to ensure smooth service during events and busy hours

  • Execute food orders for private events, brunch service, and regular evening service

  • Communicate supply needs and assist in inventory management

  • Support brewing operations, including:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing kegs and brewing equipment

  • Monitoring brewing sessions and following instructions for timing and measurements

  • Measuring ingredients and recording data per established brewing protocols

  • Assisting with packaging finished beer in kegs for service and distribution

Requirements

  • ServSafe Certification Required (Food Manager Certification preferred)

  • Previous experience cooking - either at home for a crowd, or in a commercial kitchen or line cook position

  • Comfortable operating specialized kitchen equipment

  • Work will be scheduled on one or more of these days: Friday 5pm - 10pm, Saturday noon - 10pm, Sunday noon - 10pm . Beginning in September, we will add Monday evenings for Monday night football.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment during rushes and maintain attention to detail

  • Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills

  • Open to input and standardized procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with brunch or small event catering

  • Interest in craft beer, wine, or local food scenes

  • Flexible availability and willingness to grow with the business as we grow

  • Front of House / Point of Sale experience (This is because we cross-train all team members at Point of Sale as well as kitchen in case of short staffing)
