Ray Melo is originally from Queens, New York, and currently resides in Orlando, Florida. His professional music career began nine years ago when he moved overseas to the Middle East, performing in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. During that time, he played weekend residency gigs with the duo Limited Edition alongside his former bandmate, Thomienette Berja, and participated in many open mic events.
That experience gave him a strong foundation in the importance of performing live, connecting with an audience, and putting on a great show. Since returning to Orlando, Ray has performed as a solo artist throughout Florida at venues including Fishbones in Longwood, Blue Martini on I-Drive, Funky Monkey in Mount Dora, and The Frog and Monkey Restaurant in Mount Dora, among others. He is also part of a duo with the legendary Naome Bradshaw.
